This is incredibly rewarding Gamay from Geraldine and Christophe Pialoux who are based in the far upper reaches of the Loire river - the Cote Roannaise.

They are immensely hard working, talented and modest and their wines are some of the most uplifting I have tasted.

They farm around 7 hectares of predominantly Gamay with a little Pinot Noir and Chardonnay planted also.

The vineyard is made up of extremely course, decomposed granite and the wines, as a result, are very aromatic and refreshing.

The Gamenitis is fermented with destemmed fruit while their other cuvee of Gamay, the Cuvee 100%, is made with fruit that is fermented entirely as whole bunches. Both are incredibly delicious. Serve cool.
